Just about Halfway through Quarter 3!

4A humbly accepted our bronze wreath after field day. I was so proud of our class, and how much they cheered on their fellow classmates (even in the other classes).  Field day will definitely be a day I'll never forget. Here's what to look forward the next couple of weeks:

Math: This upcoming week, students will continue their study of decimals, comparing them, and converting them to fractions. In fourth grade, students will be expected to know how to read, speak, and write decimals to the thousandths place.

ELA: In ELA, students will follow the regular procedures for Spalding. In writing, students will refine their understanding and skills by studying specific writing traits. Prince Caspian concludes, and the students will begin reading Carry on Mr. Bowditch, which is an amazing story of courage and perseverance.

History: Lexington and Concord, Bunker Hill, The Shot Heard Around the World…The conflict with Britain begins. Paul Revere spreads the word, and the colonists are at war. There is a test on chapters 1-10 on Tuesday (2/6)

Science: In science next week, students will take the Geology Mid-Unit Exam on Monday (2/5). Then, they will learn more about mountains, turning their focus onto types of rocks.

Reminder: There is no school on Friday, February 9th.
