Is it already Week 6?

I hope everyone is enjoying their three day weekend this week! I'm still at school today with the other teachers catching up on grading and having classical discussions. Here's a look into next week:

ELA: In language arts, students will continue the usual Spalding routine. In literature, Prince Caspian concludes, and the students will begin reading Carry on Mr. Bowditch, which is an amazing story of courage and perseverance. In writing, students will continue to work on the traits of a good writer.

Math: Students will continue to learn how to apply the four operations to decimals. Students will take their test on decimals at the end of the week.

History: This week, students learned about the causes behind the American Revolution, and next week they will discuss how the colonies were preparing for war and how they declared their independence from Great Britain. Students will recite "Paul Revere's Ride" at the end of the week.

Science: In science, students look at how rocks are formed and the impact of weathering and erosion on rocks and the earth’s surface. Students will have a meteorology review quiz towards the end of next week.

Reminder: Next Wednesday (2/14) is Great Hearts Day!
