AzMerit Writing this week

I hope everyone is resting up over this three day weekend. Attendance is highly important these upcoming weeks with AzMerit and AIMS testing. Here's what to expect this week:

Language Arts: Students will continue to review for the reading portion of the AzMerit test. The writing portion is on Thursday.

Math: Students will revisit concepts from earlier the year in a review for the AzMerit test.

Science: Students will continue reviewing for the AIMS Science test.

History: Students will continue a study on the creation of the United States Constitution

Another short week!

It's been wonderful being able to spend time with all my students in 4A this week. We've had perfect attendance these past two days, and hopefully we can keep it up during AzMerit and AIMS testing. Here's what to look forward to next week:

Language Arts: Students will begin reviewing for the reading and writing portion of the AZ Merit test.

Math: Students will revisit concepts from earlier the year in a review for the AZ Merit test.

Science: Students will continue reviewing for the AIMS Science test.

History: Students will continue a study on the creation of the United States Constitution. There will be a quiz on the Chapters 1-4 on Thursday.

Reminder: There is no school on Friday! Enjoy the three day weekend!

Ready for Quarter 4!

Hope everyone has had a wonderful Spring Break! I am excited to get started with this last quarter. In a few weeks they'll soon be 5th graders! Here is what to expect this week in 4A:

Language Arts: Students will begin reviewing for the reading and writing portion of the AZ Merit test.

Science: Students will begin reviewing for the AIMS Science test.

History: Students will begin a study on the creation of the United States Constitution.

See you at the Spring Fest!

In case you haven't heard, 4A bought the most amount of tickets to the Spring Fest tomorrow! Thanks to you, I get to go to a Suns game and Mrs. Klopack won a gift card! We're extra thankful for our amazing families in 4A. Time to finish the quarter strong, here's what's coming up next week:

ELA: In Language Arts, students will continue the usual Spalding routine. In literature, students will come to the conclusion of Nat Bowditch, and his adventures in Carry On, Mr. Bowditch. In writing, students will finalize a comparison essay on volcanoes. 

Math: Students will continue to learn how to apply the four operations to decimals, moving into multiplying and dividing of decimals. We will have a test on Friday.

History: This week, students will discuss the end of the American Revolution. How did a rag tag bunch of farmers fight for, and win independence from the largest world power of the time? There will be a test at the end of the week. 

Science: In science, students will begin some AIMS preparations.
