Here comes summer break!

We are officially on our last week of school! The time has flown by, especially these last few weeks. I'm so happy I was given the opportunity to teach in 4A. I can't express how much I will miss being in this classroom. Here's what to expect this week:


Language Arts: Students will conclude their reading of Rip Van Winkle. In grammar, there will be a final grammar test.

Math: Students will conclude a unit on volume. The year ends with a review of multiplication facts. There will be a cumulative test on Monday.

Science: Students conclude the unit on the respiratory system, studying the lungs and the airways.

History: Students will conclude a unit that looks at the first six Presidents of the United States

Reminder: May 23rd -May 25th are half days. Students will be released at 12:05. 

Our end of the year party is on Thursday!

Last Blog Post!


Thank you for spoiling me during teacher appreciation week! I know I'm lucky to be a teacher and work with your amazing children. Only two weeks of school left, so let's end this school year on a high note! Here's what to look forward to:

Language Arts: Students will explore a new story: Rip Van Winkle. In grammar, sentence diagramming and classification continues. One last week of Spalding brings new words and new markings.

Math: Students will complete a unit on measurements and shapes. The year ends with a review of multiplication facts. There will be a math test on Thursday.

Science: Students continue the unit on the respiratory system, studying the lungs and the airways. There will be a science test Tuesday.

History: Students will conclude a unit that looks at the first six Presidents of the United States. There will be a history test Wednesday.

And the count down begins...

We have exactly 15 school days left of school! Our field trip on Thursday was a blast. The students asked amazing questions to the physicians helping with the tour. I am always in awe of their sense of wonder. Here's what to look forward to this week:

Language Arts: Students will continue their journey in the Wonderful World of Oz. In grammar, sentence diagramming and classification continues. Spalding brings new words and new markings.

Math: Students will continue a unit on measurements, learning how to divide and multiply.

Science: Students begin a unit on the respiratory system, studying the lungs and the airways.This is a three-week unit.

History: Students will continue a unit that looks at the first six Presidents of the United States. There will be a quiz on Chapters 1-8 at the end of the week.


Reminder: The last day of clubs is Friday, May 11th
